Are you a graduate of a Higher Technological Educational Institute in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, or a related field?

The Operator is responsible for the performance of the day to day operational activities of the power plant in Thisvi, in a rolling, rotating shift schedule.
Responsibilities:
- Carry out effective response to operational demands and ensure that safe and efficient generation are undertaken, giving due regard to all plant consents and authorizations.
- Day to day activity includes "hands on" operational duty in the plant control room and/or in the field (e.g. tracks and measures operating parameters and compares actual parameters against planned as of daily operations' check).
- Identify and suggest improvements to plant and operating methods.
- Ensure that the high standards for health, safety and environmental are met, by constantly and diligently adhering and promoting company HSE standards and ISO requirements and ensuring that compliance to the above, is timely, continuous and strict.
- Support the STL, as permit issuer, in supervising and ensuring compliance of all people in the plant with company's policies and procedures (e.g. performs the tasks of the isolation list).
- Participate in a close and effective working level relationship with external interface organizations such as ADMIE and DEPA/DESFA, whilst preserving commercial confidentiality and ensuring that an auditable trail exists in all dealings.
- Ensure that at all times the commercial capabilities of the plant and up to date dynamic parameters of the station are updated and recorded.
- Execute the sampling and chemical analysis program.
- Handle the Heat Recovery Steam Generator (HRSG) Chemical Analysis process and communicates with interested parties.
- Acts as the First Line Maintenance in emergencies.
- Manage the Monitoring & Control of Distributed Control System process by implementing the production schedule (i.e. start-ups, shutdowns etc.) and monitoring equipment's / Power Plant's status (i.e. valves, motors etc.) and warnings/alarms.
Requirements
- A BSc in Electrical, Mechanical Engineering, Automation, (Higher Technological Educational Institute) or relevant field
- Relevant working experience in industry, preferably in generating unit will be considered positively.
- Experience in working in the context of strict Quality and HSE protocols (esp. ISO9001, ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001, etc.) will be considered an asset.
- Basic written and spoken English.
- Advanced computer skills.
